Culture Heritage connects!

ROCK at the European Cultural Heritage Summit in Berlin

20th June 2018

The European Cultural Heritage Summit will take place from 18-24 June 2018 in Berlin, Germany. This summit, with the motto “Sharing Heritage – Sharing Values”, has been recognised by the European Union as one of the key public events of the European Year of Cultural Heritage (EYCH) and will be supported by the EU’s Creative Europe programme.

ROCK will be part of the programme with a session where we will explore the connections between ROCK and other European-funded projects on cultural heritage, and their valorisation at European level in a networking perspective.

ROCK has invited projects linked to ROCK’s themes, in order to build bridges between existing communities and facilitate the exchange of experiences. Invited projects include the H2020 CLIC (Circular models Leveraging Investments in Cultural heritage adaptive reuse) and Open Heritage (Organizing, Promoting and ENabling HEritage Re-use through Inclusion, Technology, Access, Governance and Empowerment).

Themes to be explored during the sessions include:

  • From tangible to intangible heritage;
  • Cultural heritage communities;
  • Relations between cultural heritage and sustainability.

ROCK will also take part in a workshop dedicated to the Adaptive Reuse of Built Heritage organised by the European Commission. The ROCK contribution made in the workshop will feed into a future EU publication on adaptive reuse.
